II. Organizational Context and ScopeIncreasing access and significant donor interest in Somalia has led to increasing programmatic scope for IOM to engage in supporting the Federal Government of Somalia and regional and local administrations in delivering peace dividends to the Somali population. With approximately 3.1 million people requiring humanitarian assistance and a lack of access to basic services for significant parts of the population, delivering humanitarian aid, while also increasing the local, regional and federal governments’ capacity in service delivery and community based recovery is essential to continue supporting Somalia in its transitional phase. In this context, IOM Somalia is developing and drafting a multitude of concept notes and proposals and has embarked on instituting a more robust monitoring and evaluation framework and is therefore seeking for an intern to assist with project development, reporting and monitoring and evaluation.
