Internship Programme
The United Nations Office at Nairobi offers internship to students who are currently enrolled in at least the final year of a first university degree programme or in a graduate school (second university degree or higher) programme at the time of application, or if they have graduated, can commence their internship within a one-year period after graduation.

The Internship is for a minimum period of two months and a maximum of six.
The purpose of the United Nations internship programme is two fold:
  1. to provide a framework by which students from diverse academic backgrounds gain exposure to the United Nations through assignment to offices within the Secretariat in order to enhance their educational experience and gain experience in the work of theUnited Nations; and
  2. to provide United Nations offices with the assistance of qualified students specialized in various professional fields.

Job purpose and key deliverables 
This is an opportunity to be exposed to a world class Organisation and gain valuable experience and training whilst working with a dynamic team. The internship will be for a period of three months. In liaison with internal customers, the person will be responsible for;-
  • Conceptualise communication to be sent out to both internal and external stakeholder 
  • Deliver high quality creative digital design. 
  • Engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders 
  • Oversee print production, graphic arts, and desktop publishing 
  • Develop creative briefs and design concepts to meet business objectives 
Essential requirements
  • A diploma or degree in graphic design 
  • Excellent copy checking skills, business English spelling and an eye for detail 
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly 
  • MS Office proficient; (Excel / Powerpoint / Word/ Adobe illustrator, Indesign) 
  • Available to work full day during office hours 
  • Self starter with high energy 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Relies on sound judgement to plan and accomplish goals 
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Desirable requirements 
Knowledge of the french language is an added advantage

RSC Africa The Resettlement Support Center (RSC) Africa operates a US refugee resettlement program in sub-Saharan Africa through a Cooperative Agreement with the Department of State/Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration. RSC Africa is responsible for the preparation of refugee case files for adjudication by US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) officers, as well as the out-processing and cultural orientation of all approved cases. RSC Africa is administered by the Church World Service Immigration Refugee Program (CWS/IRP) and is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
