2 internship opportunities at ITF

We are looking for 2 passionate young people under 30 years old from any country to fill in below positions:
  1.   IT & Development Assistant:The ITF’s IT & Development Assistant leads the organization’s process to chart its Youth development course technologically. He/she is responsible for the technological direction of the organization and organizational development.
  2. Administration Assistant: The ITF Admin assistant provide full reception, secretarial and administrative support to all services provided by the organization, as may be required for the effective and efficient operation of, and reporting on the ITF service.
About us and Current projects International Transformation Foundation- ITF is a Youth led non-profit organization, on principles of stimulus and inspiration for change and transformation of youths for individual achievement, providing Youth’s self development programs encompassing leadership & entrepreneurship. With Coordination secretariat in Nairobi, Kenya.


Current Projects:
The 1 Slum 100 Computers project is a self sustainable project providing free computer training and entrepreneurship mentoring to 30 (3 groups with 10 members each) disadvantaged youths in Eastern Nairobi slums and informal settlements, within 6 month. At completion of the training and mentorship, loans them computers and other technological devices to help them set up a computer based business such as cybercafé, respectively to the business plan designed during the training/mentorship.

Join the Pipe - JTP with aim to install specially designed tap water stations in Kenya for people to drink clean water whenever possible. The Join the Pipe project activities include FINANCING Community based Schools and you
th associations to set up the Join the Pipe water Kiosks. We also work with county, National government, government agencies and private corporations to set up public water stations in public places such as parks, playgrounds, city centers for people to access tap water free of charge.
Leadership & Entrepreneurship Training:Consisting of annual Debate and workshop forums, giving east African youth life didactic principles with rigorous instructions that shoves them to expand their boundaries of knowledge, molding them into great leaders and entrepreneurs.
Other internal projects such as Jijenge Kijana-Ayouth Livelihood Pathway offering micro-saving, microcredit services to ITF members to engage in productive and stable livelihoods gradually generating increased income to lift themselves out of poverty.

Compensation
ITF is a hundred percent volunteer run organization therefore volunteer agrees to perform his/her duties without any compensation. The Volunteer is responsible of the basic expenses such as home – office transportation. ITF only provide operational expenses such as volunteer’s transportation to a meeting outside office, visit field operations etc.

For foreign (non Kenyan) volunteers we have accommodation house near the office.

  • Details oriented with a focus on results.
  • High level of self-confidence, flexibility, integrity, and honesty.
  • Able to work well independently, works with all levels of management, prioritize tasks, resolve problems and follow through.
  • Ability to keep confidential information private.
  • Desire to learn, grow personally and professionally.
