Key Qualifications
Bachelors or Master’s degree particularly in international relations, political science, peace and security, governance, law, development studies, communication, administration management.
Key Competencies/skills
· Writing and presentation skills
· Effective inter-personal skills
· Knowledge of African development affairs
· Office management and admin skill
· Word processing and internet based skills
· Excellent proficiency in English, French highly is desirable
Key responsibilities
· Support to Oxfam’s Liaison Office to the African Union on various issues including research, analysis, capacity development, public relation, advocacy, campaign and communication with the African Union, Addis Ababa based Embassies and other partners
· Monitoring of daily activities of African Union organs
· Documentation gathering, management of events and calendars
· Reporting and general administrative and logistic support to the office
· Various support to Pan African partners within the continent
· Organize meetings and other events

Selected candidates will be appointed for a six-month period. Probation period will be one month.
Suggested Starting Date: 1st March 2015
Oxfam shall provide the volunteer with a small monthly stipend to cover expenses.
Other benefits: Medical coverage as per Oxfam Policy.
